Contrary to the popular belief, sometimes vitamins and their supplements can cause varied allergic reactions among the consumers. The allergic reactions may range from minor discountable side effects to major health issues. The over dosage of the particular allergy causing vitamin can trigger severe physical reactions, thus defeating the main intended purpose of consuming these nutritional supplements. Some of the most common reactions observed as allergic reactions to vitamins are asthma, general fatigue, headaches, itchiness, runny nose, skin rashes, sneezing, sniffling, and wheezing. In general cases, a person experiences a combination of two or more than two symptoms. Secondly, the outbreak of physical reactions depends on the severity one’s allergy towards the particular vitamin. The above mentioned symptoms are mild in nature. However, there may be some severe reactions due to vitamin intake that may lead a person to the state of anaphylactic shock. In this state the person experiences breathlessness and an abrupt decrease in blood pressure which may cause a cardiac arrest as well.
